MOTOR TRANSPORTATION OPERATOR
|
The goal of this course is to train Soldiers to reclassify into the Motor Transportation Operator MOS 88M.
The course is taught in two Phases. Phase I is a 14 day ADT and Phase II is a 15 day ADT. Both Phases will be run consecutively (Back to Back).
Phase I will focus on appropriate operational forms, accident avoidance, HAZCOM, HAZMAT, hand/arm signals, strip maps, transporting cargo & personnel, convoy defense, PMCS, and safely driving vehicles up to and including 5 ton trucks.
Phase II focuses on reinforcing the skills from the previous phase and applying them to the safe driving Tractor-Trailor trucks. Both on and off road, and day/night operations are included.

Course Prerequisites:
Be assigned or pending assignment to a 88M MOS and not have been previously awarded the MOS.
Meet all Requirements to qualify for the award of the MOS 88M as outlined in DA PAM 611-21.
Students must have an OF score of 90 (85 if ASVAB was administered on or after 2 January 2002) or higher, minimum PULHES score of 222222, Red/Green Perception color vision (all reflected on your PRE-Execution checklist)
and a valid state and US Government Motor Vehicle Operator's Permit for the class of vehicles to which assigned, including trailers (must say Army Standards). Bring these liscenses and a copy of your DA Form 705 (must not expire during the course).
